Role Description

VividBlock is expanding its digital services and seeking a talented WordPress Developer to create dynamic, user-friendly websites that align with our clients’ business goals. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, delivering high-quality digital solutions for businesses across sectors. The WordPress Developer will be responsible for back-end and front-end web development, implementing responsive web design, and creating and maintaining web designs and developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop custom WordPress websites from concept to deployment.
  • Customise themes and plugins to meet client specifications.
  • Ensure responsive, mobile-friendly design across all devices.
  • Optimise websites for speed, performance, and SEO.
  • Implement security measures to protect client websites.
  • Collaborate with designers, developers, and project managers to meet deadlines.
  • Troubleshoot website issues and provide ongoing support.
  • Stay informed about the latest web design trends and technologies.

Key Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in WordPress design and development.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP.
  • Skilled in using page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of UX/UI principles.
  • Knowledge of SEO optimisation and website performance best practices.
  • Familiarity with website security and GDPR compliance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with WooCommerce and other eCommerce solutions.
  • Understanding of SEO tools and Google Analytics.
  • Basic graphic design skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva).
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG).

Portfolio Submission:

Candidates must provide a portfolio showcasing recent WordPress projects, including custom themes, plugins, and design work.
